Who is Sarah Jenkins?
Sarah is a born again believer who accepted Jesus Christ, the Nazarene, as her Lord and Savior in 1976 when she was serving as an Assistant Dean of Students at the University of Kentucky. As she grew in her understanding of the plan of God for the redemption of mankind, she received the infilling of the Holy Spirit, in 1979, with evidence of speaking in other tongues as a law student at the University of Kentucky College of Law. In December of 1982 while preparing to enter the practice of law in Phoenix, Arizona, God called her to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to “feed my sheep.” In April of 1985, she surrendered to the call of God and was licensed to preach by First Institutional Baptist Church under the pastorate of Dr. Warren H. Stewart, Sr. She continued the practice of law with a major Phoenix law firm and served at First Institutional Baptist Church as an Assistant to the Pastor over the prayer ministry until 1986.
In the Spring of 1986, she was invited to teach Contract Law and Commercial Law at the Cecil C. Humphrey’s School of Law at the University of Memphis, formerly Memphis State University. There, she was granted tenure before her move to the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Bowen School of Law (“Bowen School of Law”) in 1992. This move is one that she calls, returning home.
Until May of 2018, she served as a tenured Distinguished Professor of Law at the Bowen School of Law where she taught Contract Law and Commercial Law. She is a member of the prestigious American Law Institute.
